                There are times that we have all fallen ill for one reason or the other. Sometimes the reason is clear while at other times, we have no clue as to why we are feeling unwell. It could be a cold or the flu, or body pain from intensive workout.

At other times it could be a temporary feeling of not feeling well. Bottom line is, these things happen and are a part of life; but there are times when the body feels too much pain that you need to do something to get rid of the pain. You may need to see a doctor or use some medications.

In this article, we will be discussing those symptoms or feelings that you should not ignore. The moment you start seeing any of these symptoms, you should seek medical attention immediately as any of these signs, if left unattended to, could cause serious illness or even death.

Chest Pain
If you are feeling a high level of discomfort in your chest such as the feeling of squeezing or extreme tightness. This feeling could be accompanied by pain in an arm, sweating, vomiting, nausea or finding it difficult to breathe.

This could be a heart attack in disguise. It could also be gastrointestinal reflux (GER) or acid reflux. Seek medical care nonetheless in order to prevent any serious threat to life.

Quick loss of breath
If you find yourself losing your breath quickly or even breathing faster than you should and you are not involved in any tedious or intense exercise, it could be a case of blood clotting within the lungs or signs of a serious pulmonary disease.

Seek medical attention immediately. Other possibilities include anxiety, asthma, pneumonia, etc.

Intense Headache
We have all felt headache at one point or another but when the headache becomes very intense and keeps coming in bursts.

It could be that a blood vessel has burst in the vein or you are suffering from aneurysm. You should seek medical attention immediately.

Drastic loss of weight
If your weight reduces without you undergoing any weight loss plan and you lose over 5 percent of your body weight within six months, you should go and check yourself medically.

You could be suffering from one of cancer, clinical depression, diabetes or endocrine disorders.

Unusual bleeding
If you are experiencing bleeding, it could be ulcer or colon cancer. If you are experiencing bloody vomit, it could be esophageal or lung cancer. You should not let it get too severe; get in touch with your doctor right away.

Other causes of bleeding are hemorrhoids, pneumonia, kidney or bladder infections or fibroids. All of these possibilities are severe and can only be attended to by a medical expert.

Persistent fever
Once your temperature goes above 103 degrees Fahrenheit, you should find your way to a hospital. Even in cases where you have mild fever but it continues to go on for several weeks, you still need to visit a doctor.

As much as fever is a way the body fights against infection, if it becomes persistent or overly severe, it could be meningitis, endocarditis (heart lining inflammation), leukemia, lymphoma or some type of cancer.
